元なでしこジャパンのMF川澄奈穂美が所属するNJ/NYゴッサムFCが6日に今季のホームキットデザインを公開した。

サプライヤーはナイキ。黒ベースのユニフォームで明確に目を惹くのが象徴的なサッシュだ。

断続的な複数のライトブルーで描かれた斜線模様は、河口ではニュージャージー州とニューヨーク州の境界となっているハドソン川を視覚的に表現したもの。サッシュを組み込むことで過去に敬意を表し、そのパターンで新しい未来に向けての前進を示している。

サッシュは同時にクラブの気概と決意を反映。グラデーションではニュージャージーとニューヨークの人々を象徴する熱烈な精神を表現した。

アメリカのナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)はEA SPORTSと新しいパートナーシップを結んでおり、同社ビデオゲーム「FIFA 23」にも16日からゴッサムFCをはじめとしたNWSL12クラブが登場。こちらにも新ユニフォームが使用されている。

今季のNWSLは25日に開幕。ゴッサムFCは遠藤純を擁するエンジェル・シティFCとアウェイで対戦する。

三笘薫の幼馴染、日テレ・ベレーザのMF三浦成美がアメリカのノースカロライナ・カレッジへ完全移籍「緑の血を大切にサッカーをしたいです」
