UNAMプーマスは20日、ブラジル代表DFダニエウ・アウベス(39)の解雇を発表した。

バイーア、セビージャ、バルセロナ、ユベントス、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)、サンパウロでプレーしたアウベスは、2022年7月にバルセロナから加入。リーガMXで13試合に出場し5アシストを記録していた。

ブラジル代表としてもカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)のメンバーに選ばれ、自身3度目となる出場を果たしていた。

長年ブラジル代表の右サイドを支え、3度のチャンピオンズリーグ優勝や6度のラ・リーガ王者など、数多くのタイトルを獲得してきたが、20日にスペインで逮捕されていた。

アウベスは、12月30日にサットンのナイトクラブを訪れていたが、女性から性的暴行を受けたと通報が。下着の中に手を入れられたという訴えがあり、カタルーニャ警察が性的暴行の容疑で調査を開始していた。

アウベス自身もナイトクラブに行ったことは認めたが、性的暴行は否定。しかし、捜査の中で訴えが事実であると確認されたため、逮捕に至ったという。

プーマスはこの件を受けて声明を発表。即時解雇すると発表した。

「クラブは、本日をもって正当な理由により、ダニエウ・アウベスとの雇用契約を終了する決定を下しました」

「この決定により、クラブは精神と価値観に反する我々組織のメンバーに要る行為を容認しない問うことを、改めて表明します」
