エクアドル戦は同月27日にヨーロッパで予定され、詳細のキックオフ時間と場所は調整中。エクアドルはFIFAランキング44位で、カタール・ワールドカップ南米予選を4位で通過して本大会に出場する。
日本はエクアドルと過去3度の対戦で2勝1分けと勝ち越しており、2019年6月に行われたコパ・アメリカ以来の再戦。なお、9月の代表活動では同月23日にヨーロッパでアメリカ代表とも対戦する。

日本代表の新ユニフォームの発表時期が判明?続々と各国がお披露目している中で日本は遅めの発表か

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
