アーセナルのノルウェー代表MFマルティン・ウーデゴールが、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選を振り返った。ウーデーゴールがキャプテンを務めるノルウェーは、グループGに入り、オランダ代表、トルコ代表、モンテネグロ代表、ラトビア代表、ジブラルタル代表と同居した。
そして迎えた最終節。2位で迎えたノルウェーは、首位のオランダと対戦。勝てばW杯出場が確定する試合だったが、2-0で敗れると、3位のトルコがモンテネグロに勝利したため3位に転落。プレーオフにも進めず、予選敗退が決定していた。
10月、11月はエースのFWアーリング・ハーランド(ドルトムント)がケガの影響で欠場。プレーできていれば違う結果になっていた可能性もあるだけに悔やまれるなか、ウーデゴールは自身のインスタグラムで予選敗退を振り返った。

アーセナル、今季3rdユニフォームは緑!80年代意識のレトロスタイル

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イタリア同居のノルウェー、2戦連続ハーランド&セルロート弾で連勝スタート【2026年W杯欧州予選】
