先日のアンドラ代表戦で中盤起用されたイングランド代表DFトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルドだが、やはりやりづらさを感じていたようだ。
カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選のグループI第5節のアンドラ戦でアレクサンダー=アーノルドはMFで先発出場した。主戦場である右サイドバックではなく、[4-3-3]の右インサイドハーフでの起用となった。
慣れないポジションでの出場となったが、前半は低い位置からのビルドアップに積極的に参加。後半からはリース・ジェームズとポジションを交代して本来の右サイドバックに戻り、攻撃的なプレーを見せて4-0での勝利に貢献している。
イギリス『talkSPORT』のインタビューに応じたアレクサンダー=アーノルドは、アンドラ戦での役割についてコメント。中盤でのプレーに難しさを感じたとしつつも、どちらのポジションでも活躍できると自信を覗かせた。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

ブリッジは“不倫男”テリーを未だに許さず? 自身の近くに引っ越し発覚後、自宅を売却に出す

「可愛い!」ペガサスに乗って宙を舞うイングランド代表FWサカの衝撃写真が話題沸騰「この男を愛さないわけにはいかない」
