来季からローマを率いるジョゼ・モウリーニョ氏がイギリス『talkSPORT』でユーロ2020の準々決勝の勝敗を予想した。
ワールドカップ王者のドイツ代表やフランス代表、前大会王者のポルトガルがラウンド16で敗退して波乱を呼んでいる今回のユーロ。グループステージで3位通過となった4カ国のうち3カ国がベスト8にするなど、下剋上ムードが漂っている。
そして準々決勝の組み合わせは、ベルギーvsイタリア、スイスvsスペイン、ウクライナvsイングランド、チェコvsデンマークとなった。
この4試合の勝敗予想を聞かれたモウリーニョ氏は、イングランド代表の勝ち上がりは確固たるものだと言及しつつ、以下のようにコメントを残した。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」
