波乱のユーロ、モウリーニョが準々決勝の勝敗を予想「ベルギーよりイタリア」

来季からローマを率いるジョゼ・モウリーニョ氏がイギリス『talkSPORT』でユーロ2020の準々決勝の勝敗を予想した。

ワールドカップ王者のドイツ代表やフランス代表、前大会王者のポルトガルがラウンド16で敗退して波乱を呼んでいる今回のユーロ。グループステージで3位通過となった4カ国のうち3カ国がベスト8にするなど、下剋上ムードが漂っている。

そして準々決勝の組み合わせは、ベルギーvsイタリア、スイスvsスペイン、ウクライナvsイングランド、チェコvsデンマークとなった。

この4試合の勝敗予想を聞かれたモウリーニョ氏は、イングランド代表の勝ち上がりは確固たるものだと言及しつつ、以下のようにコメントを残した。

「私の見解を述べさせていただこう。イングランドの勝利は間違いない」

「チェコvsデンマークの予想は難しいが、デンマークが勝つだろう」

「ベルギーvsイタリア。これはビッグマッチだね。私はイタリアと予想するよ」

「スイスvsスペインも大きな試合だが、(累積警告によって)グラニト・ジャカの欠場が決まっている。スイスには彼が必要だから、スペインが勝利するだろう」

また、史上初のユーロ制覇を目指すイングランド代表が優勝する可能性について問われると、「そう思うよ。フットボールは故郷に帰ってくる。イングランドはウェンブリーで行われる決勝戦でプレーすることになるだろう」と期待を露わにしている。

なお、2日にスイスvsスペインおよびベルギーvsイタリア、3日にチェコvsデンマークおよびウクライナvsイングランドが行われる。
