今月末にカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選が控えるポーランド代表だが、絶対的エース不在で臨むことになるかもしれない。イギリス『サン』が報じている。

25日のハンガリー代表戦を皮切りに2022年のW杯に向けて欧州予選がスタートするポーランド。その第3節ではグループステージ最大の強敵であるイングランド代表と対戦するが、昨今のコロナ事情でチームはFWロベルト・レヴァンドフスキ不在で臨まなければならない危機に直面しているようだ。

今回のイングランド戦はアウェイで行われるが、イギリスでは致死率が通常より55%も高いと言われている変異株ウイルスが蔓延。そのため各国でイギリスからの入国に制限が設けられており、ドイツでは帰国後14日間の隔離措置が施される。もちろんその間はクラブでの活動も制限されるため、バイエルンが首を縦に振らない状況となっているようだ。

また、ポーランド代表ではレヴァンドフスキだけでなく、マルセイユとヘルタ・ベルリンもそれぞれFWアルカディウシュ・ミリクとFWクシシュトフ・ピョンテクの代表招集が拒絶されているようだ。

今季もここまで公式戦35試合で39ゴールと量産しているレヴァンドフスキ。この男が不在では戦力が半減すると言っても過言ではないが、果たして。
