サッカーのプレーの中で最も目を惹くのはやはりゴールだろう。しかし、時には得点者だけではなく、そのゴールをお膳立てしたラストパスが脚光を浴びるべき場合もある。今回の企画『Best Assist』(最高のアシスト)では、これまでに生まれた素晴らしいアシストを紹介していく。

今回は元スペイン代表MFのチャビ・エルナンデス氏がスペイン代表で記録したアシストだ。

◆名手チャビが送った絶妙アシスト

バルセロナで生え抜きのレジェンドとして活躍したチャビ氏は、2000年にデビューを飾って以来、14年に渡ってスペイン代表としても活躍を見せた。

類稀なパスセンスでクラブ同様、代表チームでも攻撃陣を支えた名手であるチャビ氏だが、2008年5月31日に行われた国際親善試合のペルー戦では、絶妙なアシストで味方のゴールをお膳立てしている。

0-0で迎えた38分、敵陣中央でボールを持ったチャビは、前線のボックス手前にポジションを取るFWダビド・ビジャの動き出しに合わせて絶妙のスルーパスを送る。ライン上での駆け引きを制し、フリーでボールを受けたビジャは、落ち着いてGKとの1vs1を決め、見事な先制点を記録した。

後にバルセロナでチームメイトとなるビジャとのホットラインから得点を生み出したチャビの活躍もあり、2-1でスペインが勝利している。

「間違いを犯しました」ゲイ告白騒動のカシージャス、「僕らの話をする時が…」と茶化したプジョールが謝罪

「激アツ」「どっちも可愛い」長谷川唯の“激レア”スペイン代表ユニフォーム姿が話題! イニエスタにも例えられるボンマティの日本代表ユニも話題「なんかエモい」
