シティのアカデミー育ちで、イングランドの次代を担う秀英のひとりとして、大きな期待を集めるフォーデン。公式戦38試合8得点9アシストを記録した2019-20シーズンに大きく飛躍を遂げ、この今月の代表ウィークでフル代表から初の招集を受けた。
そんなフォーデンは5日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21でアイスランド代表戦の先発メンバーに入り、待望のフル代表デビュー。68分までプレーして、チームも後半アディショナルタイムのゴールで1-0の勝利を収めた。
試合後にイギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』のインタビューに応じたフォーデンはデビューに喜びの心境を明かしたが、代表定着を目指した。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

「泣きながら電話した」アルコール依存症に苦しむ元イングランド代表ガスコイン氏が家を出て居候に、それでも闘病に決意「戦い続ける」
