ドルトムントのMFジュード・ベリンガム(17)が、また偉大な記録を打ち立てた。今夏の移籍市場でバーミンガムからドルトムントへ移籍したベリンガム。イングランド国内で最も将来を嘱望される若手の一人で、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドなど多くのビッグクラブが熾烈な争奪戦を繰り広げていた。

2500万ポンド(約33億7000万円)というクラブ史上最高額の売却額を記録したバーミンガムは、ベリンガムが着けていた背番号「22」を永久欠番にすることを発表。17歳の選手に対する処遇にしては前代未聞だが、その期待値の高さが窺える一件となった。
そんな傑物ベリンガムがこの度U-21イングランド代表に招集された。そして4日に行われたU-21ユーロ予選のU-21コソボ代表戦の62分、ベリンガムは途中投入でデビュー。このカテゴリーでは最年少記録となった。

さらに85分には、ボックス左から右足のシュートを流し込み初ゴールもマーク。当然これも最年少記録となった。
この一戦を6-0で制したイングランドは、9日にU-21オーストリア代表戦が控えている。

グリーンウッドが自身への侮辱発言疑惑のベリンガムを擁護姿勢…処分望まずも発言そのものは事実か

ベッカムがウェンブリーでファーガソンと再会!息子ロメオも笑顔で2ショット

ケインが大英帝国勲章授与式に出席｢自分と家族にとって非常に誇らしい日｣

フォーデン&グリーンウッドが愚行…アイスランド戦の宿泊先に女性を連れ込み懲戒処分へ

イングランド代表デビューを飾ったばかりのマンチェスター・シティMFフィル・フォーデンと、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドFWメイソン・グリーンウッドが愚行を犯した。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が伝えている。 イングランド代表期待の若手であるフォーデンとグリーンウッドは、5日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグのアイスランドとのアウェイゲームでA代表デビューを飾り、1-0の勝利に貢献した。 しかし、待望のスリーライオンズデビューの裏で許しがたい愚行を犯していたことが判明した。 アイスランド『DV』が伝えるところによれば、フォーデンとグリーンウッドの2選手は、代表チームが滞在していたアイスランドの宿泊先に2人の女性を招き入れていた疑いがあるという。 その女性のうちの1人がホテルの一室で撮影されたと思われる『Snapchat』のビデオでは、両選手の姿がハッキリと映されており、動画に加工などの形跡もなく本物と見て間違いないと見られている。 さらに、女性は『DV』の取材に対して、数日前に両選手の片方と知り合い、宿泊先に招き入れられたこと、新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)に関するプロトコルを知らなかったことや、写真や動画の撮影を許可されていたなど、細かなやり取りを語っていた。 ほぼ確実に“クロ”だと思われる両選手は、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)が定める代表活動中の行動規則、新型コロナウイルスのプロトコルのいずれも違反しており、今後懲戒処分が科される可能性が極めて高いと思われる。 なお、代表チームはすでに両選手の違反行為を確認しているようで、トレーニング参加を禁じられているようだ。 また、ガレス・サウスゲイト監督は現地時間の7日午後に公式会見に出席する予定となっており、その場で両者に関する何らかの説明がある模様だ。 ちなみにフォーデンには長年交際しているパートナーとの間に2歳の息子がいる。一方、グリーンウッドは今年5月にモデルの女性と破局したばかりだった。 2020.09.07 21:03 Mon

シュマイケル氏持論「イングランドには未だにシーマンを超えるGKは存在しない」
