そして、ここ最近の報道ではバルセロナとシティは、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)終了後にクラブ間での交渉を開始すると見られている。
そういった中、1-3で敗退したリヨンとのCL準々決勝終了後にスペイン『Movistar』のインタビューに応じた渦中の19歳は、自身がフル出場した試合の内容、これがシティでのラストマッチとなった同胞MFダビド・シルバに対する想いを口にした。
「今日の敗北をとても悲しく感じていることは間違いないよ。僕らは相手を打ち負かすためのよくデザインされたプランを持っていた」
「(シルバに対して)僕らは彼のために決勝進出を目指していた。チームの目標は彼のためにタイトルを勝ち取ることだったんだ。彼は本当に素晴らしいプレーヤーであり、素晴らしい人間でもあったよ。今後の成功を心から願っているよ」
