イングランド女子代表の指揮を執るフィル・ネビル監督(43)が、2021年7月までの現行契約をもって辞任することになった。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。
現役時代に実兄のギャリー・ネビル氏と共にマンチェスター・ユナイテッドやイングランド代表で活躍し、現役引退後は古巣ユナイテッドやバレンシアのコーチを歴任したネビル監督。
その後、2018年1月に就任したイングランド女子代表では2019年の女子フランス・ワールドカップ(W杯)でチームをベスト4に導く手腕を発揮。しかし、最近はチームの調子が上がらず、直近12試合で2勝2分8敗と不振に喘いでいる。
そして、先月の時点で辞任の可能性が伝えられてきた中、今月23日に自国開催のUEFA女子欧州選手権2021が1年間延期されることが決定。ネビル監督の現行契約は同大会終了までとなっており、仮に同体制を継続する場合、少なくとも1年間の契約延長を行う必要がある。
しかし、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)との話し合いの中で2021年7月までの現行契約満了と共に、指揮官の座を下りることで合意に至った形だ。
また、ネビル監督に関しては2021年夏に延期された東京オリンピックにおいてチームGB(グレートブリテン)を率いる予定だったが、監督としてではなく別の役割を担う可能性が高まっているという。

鳥栖や湘南でコーチを務めた金熙虎氏が40歳で他界…2011年のJ1昇格にも貢献、今季は韓国2部で指導
サガン鳥栖や湘南ベルマーレでコーチを務めた韓国人指導者の金熙虎(キム・ヒホ)氏が7日に他界した。40歳の若さだった。 大学までは選手としてプレーしていた金熙虎氏は、スポーツ分野で有名なウェールズ大学カーディフ校大学院のコーチング科学の修士課程を修了。2008年に韓国人として初めてUEFA公認B級コーチライセンスを取得した。 なお、ライセンス取得時は現在マンチェスター・ユナイテッドで指揮を執るオーレ・グンナー・スールシャール氏やウェールズ代表のライアン・ギグス監督、解説者として活躍するギャリー・ネビル氏らと同期だった。 2010年に鳥栖のコーチに就任。尹晶煥監督(現ジェフユナイテッド千葉監督)の下でもコーチを務め、2011年にはJ2を2位で終えチームのJ1昇格に貢献する。 その後、韓国でソウルイーランドFC、釜山アイパーク、城南FCのコーチを務めると、2018年に湘南のコーチに就任。2019年から再び鳥栖でトップチームコーチやヘッドコーチ、アカデミコーチを務め、2020年にソウルイーランドFCへと戻っていた。 鳥栖はクラブを通じて追悼のメッセージを残している。 「この度突然の金煕虎氏の訃報にふれ、心からお悔やみ申し上げます」 「2010年、サガン鳥栖にコーチとして就任され、J1昇格やサガン鳥栖の成長を、優しいまなざしで、言葉で、心で寄り添い支えていただいたことは、今もクラブの大切な礎となっています」 「さらにクラブが前進して行く姿をお見せしたかったのですが、本当に残念で、寂しく、悲しい気持ちです。一緒に共有し歩んできた時間を、これからも大切につないでいくことで、ヒホさんへの感謝としてお伝えし続けたいと思います」 「本当にありがとうございました。そして、いつまでもサガン鳥栖を見守り続けてください。先に旅立つヒホさんの冥福を祈り、謹んでお悔やみ申し上げます」 また、ソウルイーランドFCも追悼した。 「金熙虎コーチが我々のもとを離れました。故人の冥福を祈り、遺族の方々にも謹んでお悔やみ申し上げます」 ソウルイーランドFCには、元日本代表MF小林祐希が1日に加入したばかりだった。 2021.07.08 15:50 Thu

イングランド代表のコーチ陣にコクラン氏が入閣、世代別のイングランド代表監督を務めた経験もある若手指導者…トゥヘル監督が最後の1人に指名
イングランドサッカー協会(FA)は26日、イングランド代表のコーチにジャスティン・コクラン氏(43)が就任することを発表した。 トーマス・トゥヘル監督が就任し、初の活動を3月に控えているイングランド。2026年の北中米ワールドカップ予選がスタートする中で、新たなコーチングスタッフが決定した。 コクラン氏は、クイーンズ・パーク・レンジャーズ(QPR)でキャリアをスタート。イングランドやアメリカでプレーし、2013年7月に現役を引退。引退前からトッテナムのアカデミーのスタッフとして働くと、U-15、U-16、U-17のイングランド代表の監督も務めていた。 イングランド代表の育成に携わってきたコクラン氏は、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドの育成ディレクターも務め、現在はブレントフォードでトーマス・フランク監督の右腕として指導にあたっている。 FAによれば、ブレントフォードとは兼任となるとのこと。トゥヘル監督は、アシスタントコーチのアンソニー・バリー氏、GKコーチのエンリケ・イラリオ氏、パフォーマンスコーチのニコラス・マイヤー氏らがいるコーチングスタッフの最後のメンバーとして迎えることを決めたという。 2025.02.27 11:50 Thu

相手が恐れる右手…ストライカーの完成形と呼ばれた男、アラン・シアラー
