Kリーグ1(韓国1部)の蔚山現代は3日、韓国代表MFイ・チョンヨン(31)が完全移籍で加入することを発表した。なお、移籍金に関しては非公開で両クラブが合意しているとのことだ。
イ・チョンヨンは、FCソウルで2004年1月にプロキャリアをスタート。2009年8月にボルトンへと完全移籍すると、2015年にクリスタル・パレスへと完全移籍。2018年7月までプレーした。
2018年9月にはボーフムへとフリートランスファーで加入。今シーズンはブンデスリーガ2部で12試合、DFBポカールで2試合に出場していた。
通算では、ボルトンで195試合20ゴール36アシスト、クリスタル・パレスで50試合2ゴール2アシスト、ボーフムでは37試合1ゴール6アシストを記録していた。なお、プレミアリーグでは105試合8ゴール15アシストを記録している。
11年ぶりに韓国に戻ってきたイ・チョンヨンは、「優勝という確かな目標を持っている蔚山に加入できて嬉しい。ときめいた心でKリーグ復帰に向けて準備していた。クラブからの継続的な関心と愛情が見られて、入団を決心することにした」とコメント。「サッカー選手として成長することを助けてくれたFCソウルとファンに感謝の言葉を伝えたい。もう蔚山の選手だが、常に最善を尽くす姿で報いたい」と、古巣への感謝を忘れず、新天地での決意を新たにした。

名古屋入りも噂されたノルウェー代表FWヨンセンがMLSのモントリオールに完全移籍

「最悪の日本人」監督の発言に天野純が言及「衝撃、失望…でもリスペクト」、移籍裏側も告白「フロントと監督の温度差に困惑した」
