ACLEから撤退の山東泰山

アジアサッカー連盟(AFC)は19日、山東泰山(中国)がAFCチャンピオンズリーグエリート(ACLE)から撤退したとみなされることを発表した。

山東泰山は19日、ACLEのリーグステージ第8節で蔚山HD FC(韓国)と対戦の予定だった。しかし、AFCは山東泰山がこの試合に参加する意思がないことを確認し、2024-25シーズンの競技規則第5.2条に則り、大会から撤退したとみなしている。

なお、今後については、関連するAFCの委員会に委ねられ、適切な判断が下される。

山東泰山は第7節終了時点で3勝1分け3敗の成績。ラウンド16進出圏内の8位につけていた。

なお『ESPN』は、リーグステージの順位に着目。12チームで第8節までを戦う形式のため、山東泰山と直接対戦しないチームが4チーム存在するうえ、山東泰山の試合が無効となった場合、各チームの試合数にばらつきが生じる。

さらに、山東泰山に敗れたチームの結果が勝利に覆る可能性も。AFCがどのように解決するかに注目し、「山東泰山が蔚山と対戦しないという決断は、間違いなくACLEを混乱に陥れた」と伝えている。

3クラブ出場のACLEの組み合わせ決定! 神戸と川崎Fはホームとアウェイで全く同じ相手と対戦、マレーシアのJTDだけ戦わず【ACLE2024-25】
