マンチェスター・ユナイテッドが、レスター・シティに所属するイングランド代表DFベン・チルウェル(23)に関心を寄せているという。イギリス『メトロ』が報じた。

イングランド代表の主力に定着しつつあるチルウェル。推進力を生かした攻撃と対人の強さを兼備している同選手は今シーズン、ここまでのプレミアリーグ19試合で1ゴール3アシストの成績を収め、3位と躍進するレスターを支えている。

そんなチルウェルには以前から、マンチェスター・シティが熱視線を送っていることが報じられてきた。だが、シチズンズを率いるジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督は、左サイドバックを務めるDFバンジャマン・メンディや、DFオレクサンドル・ジンチェンコの競争相手に移籍金5000万ユーロ(約60億2000万円)以上を投じることに消極的な姿勢を見せているようだ。

一方、ユナイテッドでは19歳のDFブランドン・ウィリアムズがリーグ戦で3試合連続スタメン出場するなど台頭。だが、ユナイテッドを指揮するオーレ・グンナー・スールシャール監督は同選手を実力不足だと考えているという。

なお、ユナイテッドは逆にレスターからイングランド代表DFルーク・ショー(24)に関心を寄せられているが、売却には前向きなようだ。

「絶対に謝らない」ハーランド父に復讐したロイ・キーンが“報復”タックルを否定

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

「後悔が1つある」カントナが“カンフーキック”事件を回顧「もっと強く蹴っていれば…」
