スターリングの眠りは深し! デレ・アリの再三の邪魔にも屈せず

マンチェスター・シティとイングランド代表で好調を維持するFWラヒーム・スターリングだが、その好調の秘訣は“睡眠”にあるのかもしれない。

現在、イングランド代表に招集中のスターリングは25日に行われたユーロ2020予選グループA第2節のモンテネグロ代表戦でも1ゴール1アシストの活躍を披露し、チームの5-1の大勝に大きく貢献した。

そのモンテネグロとのアウェイゲームに向けた飛行機移動の際には代表のチームメートであるトッテナムMFデレ・アリとの微笑ましいやり取りがあった。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。

デレ・アリは24日、自身の公式SNSを通じて機内で眠っているスターリングへのイタズラの様子を短い動画で投稿した。

その動画ではブランケットに包まれて気持ちよさそうに眠るスターリングの後方でニヤニヤしたデレ・アリの姿が。そして、同選手は自身の人差し指を舐めてスターリングの左耳に突き刺す暴挙に。

しかし、指を細かく動かしながら耳の穴をくすぐるものの、スターリングは一向に目を覚まさず。これを受けてデレ・アリは今度は中指を舐めて同じイタズラを敢行も、スターリングは微動だにせず。そのため、デレ・アリがアプローチを変えて鼻をつまみにかかると、ようやくスターリングは目を覚ました。

お世辞にも衛生的とは言えない耳の穴に自身の舐めた指を入れるデレ・アリのスターリング愛も見事だが、あれだけ耳をイタズラされても起きないスターリングの睡眠の質の高さも見事だ。

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

ブリッジは“不倫男”テリーを未だに許さず? 自身の近くに引っ越し発覚後、自宅を売却に出す
