▽レアル・マドリーに所属するクロアチア代表MFルカ・モドリッチがバロンドールに言及した。イギリス『FourFourTwo』が報じた。

▽バロンドールを主催する『フランス・フットボール』は10月8日、候補者30名を公表。モドリッチの他にも、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)に所属するフランス代表FWキリアン・ムバッペ、チェルシーのベルギー代表MFエデン・アザールら錚々たる面々がランクインした。

▽その中で受賞の最有力候補として名前が挙がるモドリッチ。ユベントスのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドとバルセロナに所属するアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシの10年間に及ぶ独占状態の打開に期待がかかるが、本人はさほど気にしていないという。

▽モドリッチは18日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグのイングランド代表戦後、バロンドールについて問われると、次のように返答した。

「受賞したら、僕は誰よりも幸せ者だね。でも、そうならなかったとしても、何かが変わることはない。僕の今シーズンは素晴らしかった。それだけさ」

「ショック」「史上最悪」クロアチア代表のW杯ユニ、伝統の市松模様が不均衡なホームは酷評の嵐…アウェイには好意的意見
