▽事が起こったのは2日に行われたチャンピオンシップ第11節のアストン・ビラvsプレストンでのこと。前半に2点リードしたアストン・ビラだったが、54分にDFジェームス・チェスターが一発退場したことで状況が一変。それから30分間で3失点を喫し、まさかの逆転を許してしまう。だが最終的に後半アディショナルタイムの同点ゴールで辛くもドローに持ち込むことに成功した。
▽ところが、この結果にファンやサポーターは不満をあらわに。昨季4位で終えたアストン・ビラは、今季こそ優勝して2015-16シーズンぶりのプレミアリーグ復帰を目標にしているクラブなだけに、現在12位であるうえに、最下位のプレストン相手にあわやという戦いをしていれば、ファン・サポーターの不満が溜まるのも理解できる。

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ
