▽クロアチア代表DFシメ・ヴルサリコが、イングランド代表戦を欠場することになりそうだ。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えている。

▽クロアチアは7日、ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)準々決勝でロシア代表と対戦。この日先発出場したヴルサリコは、1-1で迎えた延長前半7分に左足を痛めてプレー続行不可能に。チョルルカとの負傷交代を余儀なくされた。それでも試合はその後、両者1点ずつを取り合って迎えたPK戦の末に、クロアチアが勝利して、5大会ぶりの準決勝進出を決めている。

▽今回伝えられるところによると、ヴルサリコは9日にケガの診断結果が出る模様。しかし、11日に行われる準決勝のイングランド戦は欠場する見込みのようだ。

▽ヴルサリコは今大会、グループステージ突破を決めて迎えた最終節以外の4試合に先発出場。不動の右サイドバックの欠場は、クロアチア史上初のW杯決勝進出を目指す同国にとって大きな痛手となりそうだ。
