コロンビアGK、ベスト8を懸けたイングランド戦に自信「恐れるものはなにもない」

コロンビア代表GKダビド・オスピナはロシア・ワールドカップ決勝トーナメント1回戦で対戦するイングランドを恐れていないと語った。『フォー・フォー・ツー』が報じている。

グループH第1節では日本にまさかの敗戦を喫したものの、第3節でポーランドに3-0で完勝。終わってみれば首位で決勝トーナメント進出を果たした。

コロンビアのゴールマウスを守るオスピナは、3日に控えるベスト8進出を掛けたイングランド戦への意気込みを明かした。

「僕たちは4年前よりもいいチームだ。結束していて、ブラジルのときよりも経験豊富で強力なメンバーが揃っているよ」

「経験も質も兼ね備えている。僕たちの選手は最高のクラブで、最高のリーグでプレーしている。このような規模の試合には慣れているよ。なにも僕たちを脅かすものはないさ」

「イングランドはいいチーム」と認めつつも、「対戦相手が誰であるかは気にしない」と語った。

「ただ母国のために全力を尽くして、応援から力をもらうだけさ。コロンビアのためにプレーすることは名誉なことなんだ」

そして、母国から遠く離れた地で大きな声援をくれるサポーターに感謝を示した。

「応援は信じられないくらい素晴らしいよ。僕たちに大きな力を与えてくれている。世界中にコロンビア人はいるけど、ロシアでの応援が僕たちにとっては全てさ」

シュチェスニーのくわえタバコ姿が目撃…アーセナル時代には罰金も

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」
