ザッケローニ、W杯でのアジアやアフリカの躍進を期待「サプライズを待っている」

元日本代表指揮官のアルベルト・ザッケローニが14日、イタリアラジオ局『キス・キス・ナポリ』のインタビューに応じ、ロシア・ワールドカップについて自身の見解を示した。

ついにロシアW杯が開幕したが、現在、UAE(アラブ首長国連邦)監督を務めるザッケローニの母国イタリアは、昨年11月、欧州予選プレーオフでスウェーデンに敗れ、敗退。60年ぶりにイタリアが出場しない大会に、元日本代表指揮官は肩を落とした。

「イタリアのいないW杯を見るなんてゾッとする。ここ数カ月にわたり、様々な意見があったが、非常に苦い思いが残る。出場するための努力が少なかったと思うが、まさかこんなことが起こりうるとは、考えてもみなかった。(昨年9月2日に0-3で)スペインに完敗してから、私の恐れは、ほぼ確信となった」

今大会において、ザッケローニはアジアやアフリカ諸国の躍進を期待している。

「世界中でサッカーへの熱気が湧いている。あらゆる国において、サッカーは成長を見せている。だから私は、ロシアでサプライズを期待したい。アフリカやアジアのクラブが素晴らしい成績を残せる可能性はある。強豪国以外でも、多くの選手がヨーロッパのトップリーグでプレーしている」

■ザックが語るセリエAの復権またザッケローニは、近年、低迷を続けていたセリエAの復興の兆しを感じている。その例として、名将カルロ・アンチェロッティのナポリ監督就任を挙げた。

「彼は偉大な指揮官だ。(アウレリオ)デ・ラウレンティス会長は、ライバルへ向けて重要なメッセージを発信した。イタリアサッカーは、その魅力を取り戻している。さもなければカルロのような監督が戻ってくることはなかっただろう。イタリアのサッカーは再び向上している。おそらくプレミアリーグの次がセリエAだろう。スペイン?クラシコを除けば、あまり魅力的ではない」

メキシコ代表で師弟関係復活!元日本代表指揮官のアギーレ氏が監督就任、2030年W杯を目指し副官にはレジェンドのマルケス氏を登用

メキシコサッカー連盟(FMF)は22日、メキシコ代表の新監督に元日本代表監督でもあるハビエル・アギーレ氏(65)、アシスタントコーチにレジェンドでもあるラファエル・マルケス氏(45)を迎えることを発表した。コパ・アメリカ2024ではグループステージで敗退したメキシコ。ハイメ・ロサーノ監督の退任を発表し、後任探しをスタートさせた。 2026年は北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)として自国でも開催され、さらにその先の2030年のW杯を目指すプロジェクトをスタートさせたいメキシコは、まずは経験豊富なアギーレ氏を監督に据え、マルケス氏が後を継ぐ計画を立てている。アギーレ氏は、過去に2度メキシコ代表の監督を務めたほか、オサスナ、アトレティコ・マドリー、レアル・サラゴサ、エスパニョールなどスペインのクラブを指揮。2014年7月にはアルベルト・ザッケローニ監督の後任として、日本代表の監督に就任した。しかし、オサスナ時代の八百長疑惑が持ち上がると、日本サッカー協会(JFA)は契約を解除。その後はヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ監督が引き継ぐこととなった。その後、アル・ワフダ(カタール)、エジプト代表、レガネス、モンテレイと指揮し、2022年3月からはマジョルカを指揮。しかし、昨シーズン限りで退任していた。メキシコ代表としてはこれまで59試合を指揮しており37勝9分け13敗の成績。2009年のゴールドカップで優勝を経験していた。マルケス氏は母国のアトラスでキャリアをスタートさせると、モナコへ移籍しヨーロッパでのプレーをスタート。2003年7月からバルセロナでプレーした。2010年7月にニューヨーク・レッドブルズへと完全移籍すると、クラブ・レオン、エラス・ヴェローナ、アトラスでプレーし引退。メキシコ代表としてキャプテンを務め、147試合17ゴールを記録したレジェンドとして知られる。引退後は指導者となり、2022年7月にバルサ・アトレティックの監督に就任。今シーズンも指揮を執る予定だったが、自身も指導を受けたアギーレ監督からの誘いを受け、今回アシスタントコーチに就任することとなった。 2024.07.23 21:25 Tue

元日本代表MF関口訓充が「COEDO KAWAGOE F.C」加入! 3年間所属の南葛SCを今季で退団、来季から関東2部へ

関東サッカーリーグ2部のCOEDO KAWAGOE F.Cは13日、元日本代表MF関口訓充(38)の加入を発表した。関口はベガルタ仙台で通算13年間プレーし、1度目の在籍時は、アルベルト・ザッケローニ監督時代の日本代表に選出。国際Aマッチ通算3試合に出場した。そのほか、浦和レッズ、セレッソ大阪でプレーし、C大阪時代の17年には、YBCルヴァンカップと天皇杯の2冠メンバーに。J1リーグ通算225試合、J2リーグ通算247試合出場を誇る。 2022年からは関東1部の南葛SCに所属し、3年間でリーグ通算44試合5得点7アシストを記録。11月6日に南葛退団が発表されていた。 COEDO KAWAGOEは加入発表に伴い、「クラブ設立後初となる『COEDO KAWAGOE F.Cサッカースクール』を共同で試験的に運用開始し、メインコーチとして参加いただく予定です。詳細が決定次第改めて告知いたします」と追記。関口は選手と並行して、指導者としても活動する模様だ。関口は「初めまして南葛SCから来ました関口です。仲良くしてください」とコメントしている。 2024.12.13 19:37 Fri

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

日本代表の新ユニフォームの発表時期が判明?続々と各国がお披露目している中で日本は遅めの発表か
