▽現役時代にマンチェスター・ユナイテッドなどで活躍した元韓国代表MFのパク・チソン氏(36)が自国開催となる平昌冬季オリンピックで聖火ランナーを務めることになったようだ。『EUROSPORT』が報じた。

▽平昌冬季オリンピックは来年2月に開幕する。パク・チソン氏は、10月31日にギリシャで行われる聖火の譲渡式に登場。ノルディックスキー選手として活躍するギリシャ人のアポストロス・アジェリスに続く2番目の聖火ランナーを務める。

▽平昌冬季オリンピックは、冬季として日本を除きアジア初開催となる記念すべき大会。隣国である北朝鮮のミサイル発射問題などの危険性から平昌冬季オリンピック開催に懐疑的な見方が強まっていただけに、韓国の英雄の登場がイメージ改善に繋がりそうだ。
