▽チェルシーからスウォンジーへとレンタル移籍しているU-21イングランド代表FWタミー・エイブラハム(19)が、ナイジェリア代表への招集を拒否したようだ。イギリス『FourFourTwo』が報じた。

▽エイブラハムは、チェルシーのアカデミー出身で、今シーズンからスウォンジーへとレンタル移籍。今シーズンはこれまでプレミアリーグで5試合に出場し1ゴールを記録。カラバオ・カップ(EFLカップ)でも2試合に出場し1ゴールを記録するなど、トップレベルでも結果を残している。

▽190cmと長身でありながらスピードも持ち合わせているエイブラハムは、U-18からイングランド代表を経験。しかし、父親がナイジェリアにルーツがあるため、ナイジェリアサッカー協会(NFF)からナイジェリア代表招集のオファーがあったようだ。

▽A代表ではプレーしていないため、イングランド代表ではなくナイジェリア代表を選択することも可能なエイブラハム。しかし、本人はナイジェリア代表を選ぶことはなく、イングランド代表に忠誠を誓うことを明かした。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】
