▽スペイン代表を率いるフレン・ロペテギ監督が、3年ぶりの代表復帰となったFWダビド・ビジャ(35)の招集についてコメントした。スペイン『マルカ』が報じている。

▽スペインサッカー連盟(RFEF)は25日、来月3日と6日に行われるロシア・ワールドカップ欧州予選に臨む代表メンバー26名を発表。2014年に行われたブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)以降、代表から遠ざかっていたビジャの招集に踏み切った。

▽35歳ながらにメジャー・リーグ・サッカー(MLS)で活躍するビジャは、2017シーズンに24試合に出場して19得点を記録し、得点ランキング首位に立っている。ロペテギ監督は、会見の席でビジャへの期待を口にした。
「今のスペイン代表は彼の帰還を待ち望んでいる。きっと彼が我々を助けてくれるだろう。彼は常にその能力を発揮してくれる。クオリティ、直感、競争への意欲と希望はこのチームを助けてくれる。(MLSは欧州よりも競争力が低いと言われているが)ダビドは、試合を分析する力もあり、きっと我々の信頼に応えてくれるだろう」

▽なお、ビジャはこれまでにスペイン代表として97試合59ゴールをマークしている。3日に行われるイタリア代表戦、6日に行われるリヒテンシュタイン代表戦に出場すると、99キャップとなり、100キャップの大台に王手をかける。

セビージャがロペテギ監督を解任…EL制覇にシーズン最多勝ち点記録も昨季終盤から低迷

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

「僕はスペイン人」18歳ハイセンが母国オランダに決別…2月にスペイン国籍取得でU-21代表デビュー

ローマDFディーン・ハイセン(18)が自らのアイデンティティを語った。オランダ『Voetbal International』が伝えている。 セリエAでメキメキ頭角を表す197cmの両利きセンターバック・ハイセン。16歳でマラガからユベントスへ移籍し、トップ昇格の今季は後半戦からローマへ武者修行…順調に出場機会を得ている。 そんなハイセン、U-17オランダ代表の一員として2022年にU-17欧州選手権準優勝などなど、これまでは世代別オランダ代表の常連。 しかし、今回の代表ウィークはU-21スペイン代表に招集…元アヤックスの父ドン・ハイセン氏を含めて一家揃ってオランダ出身だが、自身が5歳の時にスペイン・アンダルシア州へ移住し、今年2月にはスペイン国籍を取得しているのだ。 そして、21日に行われたU-21スロバキア代表との国際親善試合でラ・ロヒタ(世代別スペイン代表の愛称)デビュー。スペイン『マルカ』のインタビューでは「僕はスペイン人」と明言した。 「そうだね。僕は自分がスペイン人だと感じているよ。5歳からマラガで育ち、今回スペイン代表の一員になれて嬉しい。いずれスペイン代表でトロフィーを勝ち取りたいよ」 ハイセンをDFヴィルヒル・ファン・ダイクやDFステファン・デ・フライ、DFマタイス・デ・リフトらに続く新時代のディフェンスリーダーと捉えていたオランダ側から見れば、今回の所信表明は痛い。 2024.03.26 16:35 Tue
