ベルギー代表は26日、ユーロ2016決勝トーナメント1回戦でハンガリーに4-0で快勝した。マルク・ヴィルモッツ監督は、大きな夢を視野に入れ始めているのかもしれない。

立ち上がりに先制したベルギーは、終盤に一気に3点を加えて勝利している。選手は満足げなコメントを残していたものの、ヴィルモッツ監督は課題もあったという印象だ。

試合後に同指揮官が語った。

「前半終了時に選手たちは悔しがっていた。何度もチャンスを無駄にして、1点しか獲れなかったからだ。2点目を決められなかったことで、ハンガリーは希望をつないだ。そこからむこうは勇敢さを手にしていったんだ」

「我々がスピードを持ってプレーしたとき、どんな相手でも苦しめることができる。今日は常にそうできたわけではない。後半の立ち上がりについては守備の姿勢が気に入らなかったよ」

ヴィルモッツ監督は「我々はまだ何も成し遂げていない」と前置きしたが、勝ち上がるイメージも持っているようだ。

「決勝まで行って、相手がドイツになったら最高だ。同じようなスタイルでプレーするチーム同士だから、サッカーのお祭りのようになるだろう。だが、今は次の試合だけを考えているよ」

ベルギーは準々決勝でウェールズと対戦する。

ルカク、インテル残留を掴むための条件3つとは?
