CLラウンド16突破へ! B・シウバ、マドリーを警戒「彼らは何でも起こす」

マンチェスター・シティに所属するポルトガル代表MFベルナルド・シウバが、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)・ラウンド16突破へ意気込みを語っている。

2月26日に行われたレアル・マドリーとの1stレグで先勝を収めたシティ。60分に先制点を許したが、78分と83分に得点を奪い、アウェイながら2-1で逆転勝利を収めていた。

だが、3月12日に予定されていたホームでの2ndレグは新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大により延期に。UEFA(欧州サッカー連盟)は8月末までに全てのコンペティションを終了させると宣言しているが、再開の目処は立っていない。

そんな中、B・シウバはスペイン『アス』の取材で、シティがベスト8進出に向けて有利な立場にいるとしながらも、相手はあらゆる可能性を秘めた驚異的なチームであると気を引き締めている。

「全てがオープンだよ。マドリーのようなチームと対戦する時、確実なものなんて何もないんだ。ここ数年で追い付くシーンを何度も見てきたからね」

「良い結果だったね。準々決勝に進むために絶好のポジションに立つことができた。次もタフな試合になるだろうから、良いプレーをして集中力を維持し続けなければならない」

「過去3年間でイングランドのすべてのタイトルを勝ち取った。昨シーズンは4つすべて制覇したね。今シーズンはスーパーカップとEFLカップを獲った。残りのFAカップも優勝できると良いね」
