1日、UAEプロリーグ第26節が行われ、エミレーツ・クラブはアル・バテーとアウェイで対戦した。
降格圏の13位に位置するエミレーツ・クラブは1試合消化が少なく、残留ラインのホール・ファカンとの勝ち点差が「6」という状況。この試合で勝利すれば、残留に一縷の望みをつなぐことができた。
イニエスタはベンチスタートとなった中、試合は19分、21分に連続失点。苦しい状況に立たされるが、前半アディショナルタイムにパコ・アルカセルがPKを決めて1点差に詰め寄る。
さらに、58分には同点に追いつくことに成功。すると66分にイニエスタがピッチに立つ。
昇格組のエミレーツ・クラブは1年での降格が決定。イニエスタ、そしてアルカセルにとっては、プロキャリアで初の降格を味わうという悔しいシーズンになってしまった。

「日本に住んで3年になりますが」イニエスタの妻が日本生活での驚きを打ち明ける「いまだに驚いています」

「激アツ」「どっちも可愛い」長谷川唯の“激レア”スペイン代表ユニフォーム姿が話題! イニエスタにも例えられるボンマティの日本代表ユニも話題「なんかエモい」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
