日本サッカー協会(JFA)は29日、2024-25シーズンのAFCチャンピオンズリーグエリート(ACLE)とAFCチャンピオンズリーグ2(ACL2)に出場する日本のクラブを発表した。
ACLは2023-24シーズンから大会の開催時期を変更していた中、2024-25シーズンからはさらに大会の方式が変更。今までなかったACL2が誕生し、今までの大会はACLEとして開催されることとなった。
JリーグからはJ1の上位2チームと天皇杯の優勝クラブがACLEに参加。これまでACLのプレーオフに回っていたJ1の3位チームはACL2に回ることになっていた。
2024-25シーズンは、ACLEにJ1王者のヴィッセル神戸、2位の横浜F・マリノス、そして天皇杯王者の川崎フロンターレが参加。ACL2にはJ1で3位のサンフレッチェ広島が参加することとなる。
神戸は過去2度ACLに出場しており、2020年に記録したベスト4が最高位。横浜FMは2023-24シーズンで唯一Jリーグ勢として勝ち上がっており、クラブ史上初のベスト8まで残っている。

来日5年‥家族も2人増えたイニエスタの妻が改めて心境を綴る「この冒険を一緒に生き続けることは光栄です!」

「TJ、今年で引退します!!」 田中順也が36歳で現役生活に終止符
