鹿島アントラーズでテクニカルダイレクター(TD)を務めていたジーコ氏(68)が、自身の主催するレジェンドマッチに出場を果たした。

"Jogo das Estrelas"と題されるレジェンドマッチは、ジーコ氏が中心となって催され、毎年の恒例行事となっていた。だが、昨年は新型コロナウイルス感染症(Covid-19)の影響により中止に。今季は開催可能となり、会場はマラカナンではなく、リオ・デ・ジャネイロのゴヴェルナドール島にあるルゾ・ブラジレイロスタジアムで、28日に行われた。

約4000人の観衆が見守る中、元ブラジル代表の面々がずらり。MFゼ・ロベルトやDFアチルソン、FWアドリアーノにFWカレカらが終結した。

ジーコ氏も時間限定ながら赤いユニフォームを着てピッチに登場。5分間のみのプレーとなったが、交代の際には会場から惜しみない拍手が送られた。

ジーコ氏は大会での写真を自身のインスタグラムに投稿。「もっとプレーできたらよかったけど」と前置きをしつつ、参加したファンや選手、開催に尽力した各関係者への感謝を綴っている。

「もちろんもっとプレーできたらよかったのですが、エースやアーティストを間近で見た人たちや長年の放送パートナーであるSportvで観た人たちにとっては、美しいパーティーの再開となったでしょう」

「絶対買う!」まるでブラジル代表! 鹿島の3rdユニが話題に「ジーコにも着てほしかった」

3度のW杯制覇にルール変更、誰もが知る「サッカーの王様」ペレの偉業
