2018年にバルセロナからヴィッセル神戸へと加入した元スペイン代表MFのアンドレス・イニエスタ(36)だが、まだまだ世界でも注目を集めている。現在は右足大腿直筋近位部腱の断裂からのリハビリに励んでいるイニエスタだが、神戸では主将も務めるなど、随所でワールドクラスの活躍を見せてきた。
『ESPN』の公式ツイッターは、「日本でのアンドレス・イニエスタのボール捌きを3分間楽しんで」と題して、神戸でのイニエスタのプレー集を投稿。動画では、2018年8月のジュビロ磐田戦で決めたJリーグ初ゴールや、異次元のダイレクトロングパス、FWルーカス・ポドルスキへの魔法のような浮き球アシストなど、イニエスタらしい珠玉のプレーの数々を公開している。
多くの海外サポーターから「マエストロだ」「イニエスタをまた見たい」「バルセロナでもっとできたはずだ」など名手のプレーに熱中する声が多く集まったほか、日本のサポーターからも「イニエスタ様」「日本に来てくれてありがとう」と世界的スターを崇める声が挙がっていた。
なお、イニエスタの全治は4カ月と言われており、4月中の復帰が期待されている。

「日本に住んで3年になりますが」イニエスタの妻が日本生活での驚きを打ち明ける「いまだに驚いています」

欧州のドリブルキングはメッシ! C・ロナウドとは成功数に1000以上の差

「スペインより日本の方が長い」来日5年のイニエスタが8歳長男の誕生日を祝福!「お父さんにそっくり」
