ユベントスでの将来に注目が集まるポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドに対して、かつての僚友がコメントした。

2018年夏にレアル・マドリーからユベントスに活躍の場を移したC・ロナウド。新天地イタリアでもスターぶりを発揮するが、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)の優勝請負人としての期待に応えられておらず、今季もベスト16敗退という結果に終わった。

セリエAでも首位インテルに12ポイント差をつけられ、10連覇が絶望的なチーム状況も受けて批判の的となり、今季限りでの移籍が取り沙汰されるC・ロナウドだが、レアル・マドリーや代表チームで苦楽をともにしたポルトのDFペペは擁護した。

母国メディア『Novo』のインタビューで将来的なC・ロナウドのポルトガル凱旋を願ったペペだが、盟友に対する批判に反論しつつ、契約をあと1年残すユベントスでプレーを続けるとの見解を示した。

「彼はトリノで満足しているんじゃないかな。イタリアリーグのトップスコアラーだ。彼を批判する奴らは毎シーズンのように30ゴール以上も決めるために必要な努力を知らないのさ。彼は凄いことをやっているんだ。少なくともあと1年をユーベで過ごして、スポーツファンに喜びを与えながら、ポルトガルを代表する選手として活躍を続けてほしいね」

VARとの戦いが見たかった“駆け引き”に生きた生粋のゴールハンター、フィリッポ・インザーギ

元ブラジル代表DFルシオ氏が家庭内の事故で緊急入院…現在はICUで経過観察
