エジル、ついに移籍か…アーセナルと早期契約解除で基本合意

アーセナルの元ドイツ代表MFメスト・エジル(32)に移籍の準備が整ったようだ。

今季、ミケル・アルテタ監督の構想から完全に外れ、ピッチから遠ざかる日々が続くエジル。移籍市場がオープンした今冬、アメリカやトルコが新天地候補に挙がり、7年半を過ごすアーセナルからの退団が取り沙汰されている。

そのなかで、早期移籍を望むエジルがアーセナルと2021年6月30日まで残る契約の解除を求めて、交渉を開始したとも報じられ、行く末が注目の的に。イギリス『The Athletic』によれば、その話し合いの決着がついたという。

『The Athletic』のデイビッド・オーンステイン氏によると、エジルとアーセナルは早期の契約解除で基本合意。エジルは現行契約を全うすれば手にできた残り給与700万ポンド(約9億8000万円)を放棄しての移籍になる模様だ。

そして、移籍先に目されるのはこれまでも幾度となく噂に挙がった自身のルーツでもあるトルコの名門フェネルバフチェ。すでに個人合意に達しており、今週末にも移籍を完了すべく、渡航する見込みだという。

エジルは2013年夏にレアル・マドリーからアーセナルに加わり、絶対的司令塔として公式戦通算254試合44得点77アシストを記録。チームを4度のFAカップ優勝に導いた。

ウィリアム・サリバ、チームメイトの自慰行為が映った過去の動画が流出…FFFが調査開始
