シティがFAWSL最多の80ゴール、アーセナル退団のオランダ女子代表FWミーデマを獲得!
マンチェスター・シティ・ウィメンは5日、アーセナルを退団したオランダ女子代表FWフィフィアネ・ミーデマ(27)の加入を発表した。契約期間は3年間とのことだ。 ミーデマは2017年にバイエルンから完全移籍でアーセナルに加入。バイエルンでも同僚だった元なでしこジャパンFW岩渕真奈とアーセナルでもチームメイトとなり、仲の良さも見せていた。 ミーデマはアーセナルで公式戦172試合で125ゴール50アシストという脅威的な数字を残し、2018-19シーズンにはFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で優勝。カップ戦では3度の優勝を果たした。 FAWSLでは通算80ゴールを記録し、リーグ史上最多記録時保持者。ゴールデンブーツも2度受賞するなど、アーセナルのエースとしてプレーを続けてきた。 しかし、2022年12月にヒザの前十字じん帯を断裂し10カ月離脱。2023年10月に復帰したが、2024年3月に再びヒザの手術を受け、2023-24シーズンはわずか13試合の出場に終わり、7年間過ごしたチームを退団していた。 シティにはなでしこジャパンのMF長谷川唯が所属。長谷川のパスからミーデマのゴールも見られるかもしれない。 2024.07.05 22:30 Fri

アーセナルが北アイルランド期待の17歳MFオニールとプロ契約、父の影響でアーセナルを応援…トップ選手たちとも練習「学ぶことは本当に楽しい」
アーセナルは14日、U-18チームに所属するU-19北アイルランド代表MFシーダッチ・オニール(17)とのプロ契約を発表した。 2024年7月にリンフィールドのU-18チームからアーセナルU-18に加入したオニール。アンダー世代の北アイルランド代表としてもプレーする期待の若手。ミケル・アルテタ監督率いるファーストチームの選手たちともトレーニングを一緒にしている。 アーセナルに到着してから半年で初のプロ契約を結んだオニールは喜びを語っている。 「初めてのプロ契約にサインできてとても嬉しい。移籍するのは少し大変だろうと思っていたけど、うまく馴染むことができたと思う」 「最初の試合はウェストハムとのアウェイゲームで、2ゴールを決められ、良いシーズンのスタートを切れた。ウインガーはゴールを決められる必要があると思うし、今はそこを磨いて、もっと上手くなれるように頑張っていきたい」 左右のウイングでプレーするオニールは、U-18プレミアリーグで16試合に出場し5ゴール1アシストを記録。FAユースカップで4試合1アシスト、UEFAユースリーグにも1試合出場している。 オニールがアーセナルを知るきっかけとなったのは父親の影響。アーセナルファンだった父の影響で試合を観ていたとし、アレクシス・サンチェスやメスト・エジルのプレーを観ることが好きだったという。 「子供の頃、父がアーセナルを応援していたので、僕もアーセナルを応援しながら育ってきた。アレクシス・サンチェスとメスト・エジルを観ることが本当に好きだった。彼らは非現実的な選手だったし、観るのが大好きだった」 ファーストチームでは選手たちのプレーを間近で体感することもできているオニール。「ファーストチームの選手たちと同じピッチに立てるというのは、いつも不思議な感覚だよ。だから、彼らと一緒に成長し、彼らから学ぶことは本当に楽しいんだ」と語った。 2025.04.15 13:10 Tue
