27日、EAFF E-1サッカー選手権の最終戦の日本代表vs韓国代表が行われ、日本は3-0で勝利を収めた。

勝たなければ優勝できないという状況の中で迎えた日韓戦。3年前の同大会では最後に敗れて優勝を明け渡していた。

しかし、この日は日本が圧倒。アグレッシブに前半から戦うと、0-0で迎えた後半にゴールラッシュ。相馬勇紀、佐々木翔、町野修斗がゴールを決め、3-0で勝利。4大会ぶり2度目の優勝を達成した。
この試合ではベンチスタートとなった宮市亮が59分に途中出場。右サイドを仕掛けて攻撃を活性化していた中、30分過ぎににアクシデント。ドリブルを仕掛けた際に相手に対応されると、ライン際で足をついた時にヒザを痛めて悶絶。立ち上がれないままプレーが再開された。

その後、宮市は立ち上がるもメディカルスタッフは交代を要求。78分に森島司と交代していた。
試合後の表彰式にも姿を見せなかった宮市。試合後、森保一監督が会見で状態について触れた。

「攻撃側のゴール裏付近で痛んでいました。そこで試合中はメディカルの方からプレー続行不可能という連絡があったので、すぐに交代ということにしました」

「違う選手で交代のカードを考えていましたが、宮市と森島を代えるという判断をしました」

「病院には行っておらず、ヒザを固定して様子を見ているということです」

18歳でアーセナルに加入した宮市は、レンタル移籍を繰り返すなどしてヨーロッパでプレー。その中で、両ヒザの前十字じん帯を手術するなど、度重なるケガに見舞われていたが、2021年夏に横浜F・マリノスに加入してJリーグ初挑戦。今季もリーグ戦15試合に出場し3ゴール3アシストを記録し、10年ぶりに代表復帰を果たし、期待を懸けられていた中での再負傷となってしまった。

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

BE:FIRSTがアンバサダー就任の「FILA」、かつては中田英寿氏も同ブランドのスパイクを着用
