スイス代表のムラト・ヤキン監督が、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)決勝トーナメント1回戦のポルトガル代表戦へ向けて意気込みを語った。スペイン『ムンド・デポルティボ』が伝えている。

スイス代表は2日にグループG最終節でセルビア代表と対戦。先制しながらも一時は逆転される厳しい戦いを強いられたが、同点として迎えた後半開始早々のMFレモ・フロイラーのゴールが決勝点となり、3-2での逆転勝利に。2位で決勝トーナメント進出を掴み取った。

6日に行われる決勝トーナメント1回戦では欧州屈指のタレント軍団、ポルトガル代表と激突する。ヤキン監督はセルビア代表戦後のインタビューで試合を振り返りつつ、ベスト8を懸けた大一番へ向けても意気込みを語った。
「序盤は順調な戦いを見せたが、困難な時間帯も経験した。スイスの選手たちが良いリアクションをしたことで、素晴らしい結果を手繰り寄せたね。(試合中は)多くの感情が湧いてきたが、今とてもハッピーなのは試合に勝てたからだ」

「セルビアの強力な攻撃陣には十分な警戒が必要だった。だが、我々は素早い切り替えとサイドのスペース活用を徹底し、3つものゴールを生んだ」

「自分たちを責めるしかない」モウリーニョがEUROベスト16敗退のフランスを批判
