イングランド代表のワールドカップ(W杯)メンバーに滑り込んだDFカイル・ウォーカーだが、初戦欠場が濃厚なようだ。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が報じた。

ウォーカーは先月初旬の試合でそけい部を痛めて手術。実践感覚も鈍り、メンバー入りが危ぶまれたが、なんとか滑り込みで選出。チームとともにドーハに渡り、16日にフル練習にも姿を見せたという。

だが、21日に行われるグルーブB初戦のイラン戦は不出場が確実で、本人も「それは監督次第。初戦は(調整の時間が)少し短すぎると思うけど、その後は良い感じで準備ができるはずさ」と話したようだ。
したがって、イラン戦では右サイドバックとしてDFキーラン・トリッピアーの先発が有力視されており、ウォーカーがプレーできるようになるのは25日に予定する第2戦のアメリカ代表戦以降になる模様だ。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」

シティで序列低下のウォーカーに古巣2クラブが関心、熱心なのはイングランド2部クラブ
