三菱重工浦和レッズレディースのMF遠藤優が、ウェディングドレス姿を披露して話題となっている。

遠藤は埼玉県出身で、浦和レディースの下部組織出身。ジュニアユース、ユースと昇格し、そのままトップチームに昇格した。およそ1年前、2022年4月5日に一般男性と入籍していたことが発表されていた。

WEリーグを戦う浦和レディースでも主力を担っている遠藤。自信が愛するレッズの本拠地である埼玉スタジアム2○○2で、ウェディングフォトを撮影したことをインスタグラムで報告。ウェディングドレス姿だけでなく、これまで非公開だった夫の顔も公開された。

8日、トレーニングマッチでなでしこジャパンとコロンビア女子代表が対戦した。 6日にヨドコウ桜スタジアムで対戦した両者。コロンビアが1つのチャンスを活かして先制するも、日本は試合最終盤にPKを獲得し1-1のドローに終わった。中1日で行われた戦い。日本は11人全てを入れ替え、GKに大熊茜、DFは右から遠藤優、高橋はな、石川璃音、佐々木里緒と並び、ボランチに杉田妃和と初招集の眞城美春、2列目は右から植木理子、松窪真心、中島淑乃と並び、1トップに上野真実が入った。試合は立ち上がりから日本が攻め込む展開に。2分、CKの流れから最後は高橋がボックス内右でシュートもサイドネットを揺らした。さらに3分には眞城もボール奪取から左足ミドルを放った。
