元ウルグアイ代表FWディエゴ・フォルランが再デビュー戦で華麗なゴールを決めた。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドやビジャレアル、アトレティコ・マドリーで活躍したフォルランは、2014年1月にはセレッソ大阪へ入団し、日本でも大きな話題となった。
その後はインドや香港にも活躍の場を広げたのち、2019年8月に引退。ウルグアイ代表としても112試合36ゴールを記録したレジェンドは、2020年から母国の古巣ペニャロールや同国2部リーグのアテナスで監督業をスタートさせたが、昨年9月にアテナスの監督を解任されていた。
そのフォルランは、今年2月にはウルグアイのオールド・ボーイズ&オールド・ガールズ・クラブへの入団が発表。所属するのは40歳以上の選手で構成されるサッカーチームで、リガ・ウニベルシタリア・デ・デポルテスが運営するウルグアイ大学スポーツリーグ(LUD)と呼ばれるリーグ戦を戦う。
23日についにリーグ戦デビューを果たした南アフリカ・ワールドカップ(W杯)得点王は、いきなり見せた。左CKのキッカーを任されたフォルランは、力みのないキックでこれを直接沈めてみせたのだ。
フォルランは直接CKを含む2ゴールを挙げ、試合も10-0と圧勝。42歳となった今でも、まだまだファンタスティックなゴールを挙げそうな雰囲気だ。

「美しい」「たまらない」ウルグアイ代表が記念ユニフォームを発表!五輪初優勝から100周年「サプライヤーなしの方がいいじゃないか」

スアレス、12年前の復讐に燃えるガーナに過去のハンド謝罪を拒否 「PKを失敗したのは僕ではない」
