アジア競技大会でも存在感を示す日本女子代表MF谷川萌々子
日本女子代表連日の大勝に海外メディアが驚きを示した。22日からスタートした第19回アジア競技大会(The 19th Asian Games)に参加中の日本は、なでしこジャパンの呼称を用いることができない。

大会開催期間中のインターナショナルマッチデイに、日本国内でアルゼンチン女子代表との国際親善試合があり、なでしこジャパンとしてはこちらに参加。重複・混同を避けるため、アジア競技大会へ臨むチームは今大会へ向けた日本女子代表と称され、代表キャップも加算されない。
難しい背景の中でもWEリーグの有力株や育成年代選手を中心に、なでしこジャパンとは別編成で大会連覇を目指すなかで、グループステージ初戦のバングラデシュ女子代表戦、第2節のネパール女子代表戦をいずれも8-0と快勝。

28日の第3節ではオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)にも出場したベトナム女子代表戦を相手に、7-0で大勝した。
海外メディア『433』では連日大勝続きの日本を紹介。「6日で31ゴール!」と、アルゼンチンに圧勝したなでしこの結果も併せてスコアと選手の写真付きで掲載した。

前述の通り編成は異なり、相手との実力差もあるものの、4試合で31得点無失点と驚異的な数字を残す日本の女子代表をピックアップ。日本女子代表から塩越柚歩、山本柚月、千葉玲海菜、なでしこジャパンからは長谷川唯が登場している。

海外のサッカーファンからは「ブルーロック女性バージョン」などの声が寄せられるなど、フィクションの世界だと驚く声が多数。そのほかにも「日本がアジアを席巻したのは初めてではない」、「本物のチーム『ブルーロック』」、「日本はアジアの光です」、「長谷川が日本人最高のミッドフィールダーであることに議論の余地はない」、「日本女子代表チームに敬意を表します」、「彼女らは今のチェルシーに勝てそう」といった大きな反響を巻き起こしている。

2023女子W杯に続き、アジア競技大会でも世界に衝撃を与えている日本の女子サッカー。準々決勝は30日に行われ、フィリピン女子代表と対戦する。

中1日でのハードなスケジュールとなっているが、快進撃を続ける日本女子代表には、大きな注目が集まっている。

「WEリーグの選手もできる」なでしこジャパンの10番が狙う4年ぶりの代表戦ゴール 塩越柚歩がE-1で示したい、“国内組の力”

東アジアE-1サッカー選手権に臨むなでしこジャパン(女子日本代表)は7日、開催地の韓国入り後初の全体練習を行った。初招集メンバーは10名。若手も多く揃う中、「プレーでもピッチ外でもリーダーシップが取れたら」と笑顔を見せるのは、今大会で背番号10を背負う塩越柚歩だ。 代表招集は約8カ月ぶりで、2025年2月に就任したニルス・ニールセン監督の下でプレーをするのは今大会が初めてとなる。 初日の練習を終え「ちょっと戸惑いというか、(監督が求めているプレーは)“これで合っているのかな”というのは、正直あった」と率直な感想を語る一方で、「みんなですり合わせながら、やっていけた感覚はある」と手応えも得ながら汗を流した。 今大会のメンバー選考について、ニールセン監督は「WEリーグから非常に才能ある選手を選んだ」と明言する。国内組が多く名を連ねる中、ボランチでの起用が予想される塩越に求められているのは、得点に絡む大胆なプレーだ。 7日に行われた11対11ゲーム形式のトレーニングでも、ゴール前に飛び込んでいくプレーを披露。「無理に(ボールを)受けに行かないでほしいと言われていたので、あまり(最終ラインまで)落ちるプレーはしないように意識した」と話し、「『ここぞ』っていうタイミングで、ゴール前に迫ることを言われている」と与えられている役割を明かした。 2024-25シーズンのWEリーグ第8節・サンフレッチェ広島レジーナ戦では、ペナルティーエリア手前横パスから華麗なダイレクトシュートをゴール右上に突き刺し、リーグ年間ベストゴールにも輝いた。今回の招集は、そうした国内リーグでの活躍を惜しみなく発揮してほしいという指揮官からのメッセージでもあるのだ。 2021年4月に行われた国際親善試合で初選出された塩越は、なでしこデビューとなったパラグアイ戦で2ゴール1アシストを挙げ、大きな爪痕を残していた。 「普段の代表は海外組が多い中で、“WEリーグの選手もできる”のを見せられる大会になると思う。より結果が大事」と意気込む背番号10は、約4年ぶりにネットを揺らすことができるか。 チームは大会3連覇を目標に、まずは9日に行われるチャイニーズ・タイペイとの初戦に臨む。 2025.07.08 12:00 Tue

「まさに死闘ってカンジ」歴史に残るバーレーンとの4-3の激闘!2004年大会プレイバックに反響「このゴールで中澤佑二に惚れた」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
