2022年夏にビーレフェルトから加わって、今季でシティ2年目のオルテガ。今季もブラジル代表GKエデルソンに次ぐ2番手の立ち位置でスタートしたが、終わってみれば公式戦20試合の出場数と1年目の14試合を上回った。
それはエデルソンの負傷離脱もあってのことだが、肝心のプレーぶりもショットストップを含めて頼もしく、プレミアリーグでの前人未到となる4連覇を振り返る上でも欠かせぬ存在に。ただ、来季が契約最終年だった。
そのなか、家族事情も絡み、移籍が取り沙汰されたが、シティとの契約を新たに1年延長しての残留決着に。クラブ公式サイトで「シティに長くいられるのを嬉しく思う」と喜んだ。

アグエロがシティの歴史に名を刻んだ瞬間、プレミア初優勝を決めた93:20の熱狂
