リバプールは17日、元スペイン代表MFチアゴ・アルカンタラ(33)の退団を発表した。
バルセロナのアカデミー出身のチアゴは、2011年7月にファーストチームに昇格。2013年7月にバイエルンへと完全移籍。2020年9月にリバプールに加入した。
リバプールでは4シーズンを過ごしたがほとんどの期間で負傷離脱している状況に。今シーズンもわずか1試合、5分間の出場に終わってしまった。
4シーズンで公式戦98試合で3ゴール6アシスト。リバプールではFAカップとコミュニティシールドのタイトルを獲得した。
チアゴの退団について、ユルゲン・クロップ監督がコメントしている。
