大宮アルディージャVENTUSのDF鮫島彩が成長を続けている。
4月3日に行われた「2021-22 Yogibo WEリーグ」第16節、三菱重工浦和レッズレディースとの"さいたまダービー"では2-1で勝利を収めたものの、以降は3試合勝利がない大宮V。直近では2連敗と、勝負の際を制し切れない戦いが続いている。
とはいえ、林みのりなど冬の新加入選手も含めて連係面は向上してきた。また、チームとしてだけでなく、個人としても4月に行われたなでしこジャパンの合宿に井上綾香が初選出されるなど、明るいニュースも増えている。
ここまで15試合に先発出場している鮫島も、充実のトレーニングを行っている1人だ。公開したのは ボックスジャンプの様子。据えられた箱に助走なしで飛び乗るものだ。瞬発力と爆発的なパワーを高めるために用いられる。
昨年12月には「トップチームの男子選手がやってる高さに挑戦したけれど、全然無理だった件」と残していた鮫島。4月14日には「前回飛べた高さと飛べなかった高さの中間くらいで徐々に高さを上げながら実施」と徐々に高さを上げていった。
そして5日。インスタグラムに投稿された動画では鮫島の鳩尾ほどの高さである1m15cmの箱に挑戦し、見事に成功。自身も驚きの跳躍には「1番高いBOXクリアーーーー」との喜びの声と「まさか飛べると思ってなかったら、おったまげー!」との言葉を残している。
日々のトレーニングが成果となって現れた瞬間。間近で見ていたチームメイトからはもちろん、ファンからも「流石プロ」、「この前より凄くなってる‼」、「尊敬と感動の気持ちでいっぱい」、「びっくりした感じがかわいいですね」、「凄いカッコ良くて可愛い」などの賛辞が寄せられている。
大宮Vの残り試合は7日のアウェイ、AC長野パルセイロレディース戦と、22日のホーム、INAC神戸レオネッサ戦だ。トレーニングでパワーアップした鮫島の跳躍力にも注目が集まる。

大宮アルディージャVENTUSのDF鮫島彩の着物姿が話題を呼んでいる。
WEリーグ発足に伴い、2021年から新設された大宮VENTUSへ加入した鮫島。WE初年度は17試合に出場し、今シーズンもカップ戦を含めてほぼフル出場が続いている。
2011年のドイツ女子ワールドカップ(W杯)優勝メンバーの1人でもある鮫島。農業を行う姿やオフショットなどもインスタグラムで報告する中、沖縄キャンプの前に着物で出掛けたことを報告した。

鮫島はインスタグラムで自身の着物姿をアップ。髪をアップにし、ユニフォーム姿とはまた違った魅力を見せつけた。

20日、東京都内で「パリ2024 日本代表 応援イベント〜ともに掴もう、最高の瞬間を〜」が開催。U-23日本代表、なでしこジャパン、そしてブラインドサッカー日本代表を応援するイベントが行われた。
日本サッカー協会(JFA)が主催したイベント。元日本代表DFの槙野智章さん、元なでしこジャパンDFで2011年の女子ワールドカップ優勝メンバーである鮫島彩さん、仙台育英で10番を背負い、中央大学サッカー部では中村憲剛氏の先輩でもあったお笑いトリオ・パンサーの尾形貴弘さん、タレントの眞嶋優さんが登壇。司会はジョン・カビラさんが務め、スペシャルゲストには日本のボーイズグループ・JO1の白岩瑠姫さんも登場し、会場を沸かせた。
パリ・オリンピックに臨むU-23日本代表、なでしこジャパン、そしてパリ・パラリンピックに出場するブラインドサッカー日本代表をそれぞれ深掘りしていくイベント。U-23日本代表は、先日開催国であり金メダル候補のU-23フランス代表と対戦して1-1のドローと善戦していた。
槙野さんはフランス戦を開設し「よく引き分けたと思う」とコメント。「試合の中での反省点、課題は見つかったけど、大会前に質の高いチームとやれたことは大きかった」と、本大会前にしっかりと競合相手にテストができたことが良かったとした。
イベントでは登壇者4人が推し選手を発表。槙野さんはキャプテンを務めるMF藤田譲瑠チマ(シント=トロイデン)をピックアップ。「このチームで長らくキャプテンをやっていて、コミュニケーション能力が高く、監督コーチ、スタッフと選手をつなげる役割」と、藤田の存在感について説明。「かなりインテリジェンスのある選手なので、今どうしたら良いのか、前に行くのか後ろで守るのかがわかるので、いるかいないかは全然違う」と、チームに欠かせない選手であるとした。
鮫島さんは10番を背負うMF斉藤光毅(ロンメル)を推しているとし「とにかくワクワクする選手。シュートも、センタリング、そしてドリブルが大好き」とコメント。「サイドバックの気持ちで見ちゃうが、たまったもんじゃ無い。縦に行く動き、足の運びがすごく早いので置き去りにされてしまう」と、自身が対峙することを考えても素晴らしい選手だとした。
白岩さんはMF平河悠(ブリストル・シティ)をピックアップ。「スピードとドリブルの能力に長けていて、個人で打開してチャンスメイクができるのが魅力」と、平河の武器である個の打開に注目しているとした。そして尾形さんはDF高井幸大(川崎フロンターレ)を挙げ、「192cmででかいけど、スピードもちゃんとある。19歳の荒削りさも好きで取りに行くのも好き」と若くても規格外の選手だとし、「これから世界に羽ばたく選手。日本では収まらない。フロンターレに申し訳ないけど世界に行ってほしい」と、所属の川崎Fに配慮しながらも、世界の舞台での活躍を見たい選手だと太鼓判を押した。
なお、会場に集まったファンの投票では、藤田譲瑠チマが1位となり、MF荒木遼太郎 (FC東京)、GK小久保玲央ブライアン(シント=トロイデン)の名前も挙がっていた。
続いてはなでしこジャパンについて鮫島さんが先日のガーナ女子代表戦を開設。「後半はきっちり修正した」と4ゴールを奪った戦いを振り返り、「この試合でも4選手が得点を決めているので、どの選手も得点を決められる形を持っている。チームとしては良い状態」とし、「システムも可変できるので、これからもっと詰めていくと思う」と、残りの時間でさらに精度を上げていくはずだとした。
推し選手について鮫島さんはFW藤野あおば(日テレ・東京ヴェルディベレーザ)を挙げ、「WEリーグでもマッチアップしたけど悩まされた。なんでもできて、ドリブルもシュートもあって、守る側として選択肢が多い」とコメント。マークにつき辛く、切り返しも深いので、守備側としては勘弁してくれと。セットプレーも決められるので、できないことがない選手」と、実際に対戦した経験からも素晴らしい選手だと語った。
槙野さんはDF高橋はな(三菱重工浦和レッズレディース)をピックアップ。「見てたらこっちが元気になる。CBで声が出せる選手」と語り、「守備だけじゃなくて攻撃。セットプレーのターゲットマンになれるし前にも入っていける。メンタリティがすごくで、ムードーメーカーとして大好き。一発ギャグもあって好き」とし、自身にも似たタイプで同じ浦和でもプレーする高橋をピックアップした。
白岩さんはMF長谷川唯(マンチェスター・シティ・ウィメン)をピックアップし、「どこに目がついているんだというぐらい空間把握能力がすごく、周りをよく見ている」と絶賛。「トラップもスルーパスもとにかく凄い」と評価した。鮫島さんは「いかにボールを触れるかでなでしこのサッカーが変わる。彼女に一番ボールが集まるようなサッカーをしてほしい」と、期待を寄せた。
また、尾形さんはキャプテンのDF熊谷紗希(ローマ・フェンミニーレ)を推し、高井に続いてCBの選手を推している。「ベテランで支柱。こういう人が、チームが苦しい時にチームを鼓舞する」とメンタリティを称えた。共に2011年W杯を戦った鮫島さんは「とにかくポジティブ」と語り、「チームの精神的支柱なので、今回も引っ張っていってくれると思います」と、なでしこを牽引する存在だと期待した。
なお、会場の人気は長谷川が1位。熊谷、そして2023年の女子W杯得点王でもあるFW宮澤ひなた(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド・ウィメン)も人気だった。
ブラインドサッカーに関しては、日本はランキング3位であるものの、予選を通過してパラリンピックに出場するのは今大会初。メダルの可能性もある競技の1つだ。
イベントでは、白岩さん、尾形さんが実際に体験。目隠しをした中で、パス交換にチャレンジした中、尾形さんはなかなか難しそうにしていたが、白岩さんはセンスを見せつけてしっかりとパスをトラップ。槙野さんがバウンドさせて転がしたボールも、しっかりとストップするなど、過去にプレーしていたサッカーのテクニックを見せつけていた。
長谷川と藤田から会場に集まったファンへメッセージビデオも用意された中、イベントの最後には会場に集まったファンと共に日本代表へエール。ジョン・カビラさんの「がんばれ!」に続いて、「ニッポン!」とエールが送られた。

26日、2024-25シーズンのSOMPO WEリーグのキックオフカンファレンスがJFAサッカー文化創造拠点「blue-ing!」で行われた。
新シーズンの開幕を前に、12クラブの代表選手が集った中、1部と2部に分かれて行われた。
第1部では髙田春奈チェアが新シーズンに向けた挨拶。また、新たにタイトルパートナーとなった「SOMPOホールディングス」のグループCEO取締役代表執行役社長の奥村幹夫氏が登壇。今回のパートナーシップ契約についての説明を行った。
髙田チェアは4シーズン目を迎えるWEリーグを前に昨シーズンを振り返り、「リーグ戦は三菱重工浦和レッズレディースが連覇と強さを見せつけたわけですが、WEリーグカップではサンフレッチェ広島レジーナが創設3年目で初タイトル、1月の皇后杯では三菱重工浦和レッズレディースをやぶって、INAC神戸レオネッサが優勝するということで、本当に色々なクラブが出てきたシーズンになったと思う」とコメントした。
「みんなが主人公になるためにプレーする」という言葉をテーマにしている新シーズンのWEリーグ。「クラブにおいてもどのクラブが主人公になってもおかしくない、色々な主人公が生まれてくると私自身もワクワクしています」と語った。
また、昨シーズンからは多くの選手が海外へと移籍していった。特になでしこジャパンの選手たちが多く移籍している。「WEリーグ寂しくなったんじゃないの?と言われることも多いですが、実際に寂しさもあります。ただ、中を見れば、あの選手がいる、この選手がいるとワクワクする選手たちが日本にはたくさんいて、その選手たちが主人公になっていくということを考えると、培った日本の女子サッカーの育成を感じますし、これから益々新しい主役を生み出していくリーグになることが求められていると思います」と、新シーズンへの想いを語った。
奥村氏は今回のタイトルパートナー契約の経緯について言及。「WEリーグの理念である、『女子サッカー、スポーツを通じて、夢や生き方の多様性にあふれ、1人1人が輝く社会の実現・発展に貢献する』というものと、SOMPOのパーパスである『安心・安全・健康で溢れる未来へ』という理念が共鳴し合ったのが最初のキッカケです」と語った。
その後、トークセッションが行われ、損害保険ジャパン株式会社の常務執行役員[CHRO・CCuO]の酒井香世子さん、SOMPOひまわり生命保険株式会社の執行役員 CHROである野田美智子さん、SOMPOケア株式会社の執行役員 CHROである恒松敬子さんと髙田チェア、そしてWEリーグのコミュニオーガナイザーを務める元なでしこジャパンGKの海堀あゆみさんがWEリーグとSOMPOホールディングとの協力による今後の展開について語り合った。
第2部では12クラブの代表選手が登壇。開幕節の対戦カードごとに登場し、お互いの印象やここまでのチームの完成度、自身の目標などを語った。プレゼンターは昨シーズン限りで現役を引退した元なでしこジャパンの鮫島彩さんが務め、選手たちは「2桁ゴール」、「得点王」、「タイトルを獲る」、「5ゴール5アシスト」など、具体的な目標を掲げていた。
SOMPO WEリーグの開幕は9月14日に開幕。8月31日からは WEリーグ クラシエカップが開催され、12クラブがカップ女王を目指して戦う。

元なでしこジャパンのFWで現在はタレントとして活躍する丸山桂里奈さんが、第1子を無事出産したことを報告した。
2011年に女子ワールドカップで優勝を果たしたなでしこジャパンのメンバーの一員であり、引退後はタレントとして数々の情報番組やバラエティ番組で活躍を見せる丸山さん。2020年9月に元日本代表GKであり、かつては監督と選手の関係でもあった本並健治氏と結婚した。
夫婦揃ってテレビ出演することも多く、仲の良さをお茶の間に届けている丸山さんは23日に出産したことを報告。女の子だったという。
丸山さんは娘の足と出産後の自身の写真をインスタグラムに投稿。出産に時間がかかったと報告した。
「みなさーん、無事に赤ちゃん生み出しました。母子共に健康です」
「時間はかかりましたがとにかく、今までためてきた39のいきみを使い、思い切り踏ん張ったら出てきました〜。人間の力はすごいなと、人間の可能性は無限大ですね」
「まだ本並さんは会えてないので、鼻を長くして待ってます。またあとでゆっくり書きます」
「皆様、応援ありがとうございました。たくさんのメッセージに励まされました。感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです」
夫の本並氏はまだ会っていないということだが、娘については「#女の子です」「#足も大きいです」「#おでこも広めです」「#めちゃくちゃ可愛いです」と丸山さんらしい紹介。ちなみに名前は決まっていないようだ。
これには元日本代表MFの前園真聖氏も「おめでとうー」と反応。現在は大宮アルディージャVENTUSでプレーし2011年のW杯優勝メンバーでもある鮫島彩は「かりなさーん!!!!心からおめでとうございます。お疲れ様でした」、同じく大宮VENTUSでプレーする仲田歩夢も「かりなさんおめでとうございます」と反応した。
その他にも芸能界やサッカー選手などから多くの祝福のメッセージが届いている。
