元リバプールの選手が、華麗なる転身を遂げたようだ。
それはフランス代表としても活躍したDFママドゥ・サコー。34歳のサコーは、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)の下部組織出身で、ファーストチームに昇華うご、2013年9月にリバプールに完全移籍した。
クリスタル・パレスへのレンタル移籍を経験したのち、リバプールでプレー。2017年8月にクリスタル・パレスに完全移籍すると、その後はモンペリエに完全移籍。2023年11月に退団すると、2024年7月にジョージアのトルペド・クタイシに完全移籍していた。
サッカー選手としては第一線からは離れる形となったサコーだが、イギリス『サン』によると、起業家として華麗なる転身を遂げたとのこと。ドバイで2024年11月に「SAKHO&CO」という不動産会社を起業したという。
主な事業は不動産やインテリアのデザイン事業。コンサルティングや映像制作も手掛けているという。
不動産業としては、ドバイにある数百万ドル相当の高級物件が並んでいるとのこと。第二の人生でも大きなチャレンジをすることになるようだ。

リヨンがクリスタル・パレスに所属する元フランス代表DFママドゥ・サコー(30)の獲得に動いているようだ。フランス『レキップ』が報じている。
今シーズンのリーグ・アンを7位で終えたリヨンは、クープ・ドゥ・ラ・リーグ決勝、チャンピオンリーグ(CL)の戦いを残しているものの、捲土重来を目指す新シーズンに向けて動き出している。
今夏の移籍市場においてはビッグクラブがこぞって狙う前線の若手タレントの慰留、後釜探しが重要なポイントになる一方、センターバックの補強が優先事項となっている。
ここまではヴェローナのアルバニア代表DFマラシュ・クンブラ(20)、スパルタク・モスクワのフランス人DFサミュエル・ジゴ(26)への関心が伝えられていたが、新たな候補としてサコーの名前が浮上しているようだ。
パリ・サンジェルマン、リバプールと国内外の名門でプレーしてきたサコーは、2017年冬からパレスに在籍。負傷による離脱期間を除いてはほぼ主力として起用されている。
ただ、2021年夏までとなっている現行契約の延長交渉は進んでおらず、今夏のタイミングで売りに出される可能性は十分にあるという。
パレスはリバプールから完全移籍で買い取る際、2800万ユーロ(約33億4000万円)を支払っているが、リヨンは現時点での移籍金は1000万ユーロ(約11億9000万円)以下と見積もっているようだ。
そのため、サコー獲得に移籍金のハードルは低いようだが、ネックは同選手の高額なサラリーだという。『レキップ』は具体的な金額について言及していないが、リヨン移籍に向けては選手サイドがサラリーダウンを受け入れる必要があると主張している。
