サウジアラビアからJリーグへ? 元名古屋の10番が移籍へ、古巣復帰の可能性も

マテウスは2シーズンぶりにJリーグ復帰なるか？

サウジ・プロ・リーグのアル・タアーウンに所属するFWマテウス・カストロ(30)がチームを退団することになるようだ。サウジアラビア『Arriyadiyah』が伝えた。

ブラジルのバイーアから2014年8月に大宮アルディージャ(現:RB大宮アルディージャ)に期限付き移籍で加入したマテウス。2015年も引き続ききげt抜き移籍で加入すると、2017年2月に完全移籍。2019年1月に名古屋グランパスへ完全移籍した。

横浜F・マリノスへの期限付き移籍を経て、2020年からは再び名古屋でプレー。2023年8月にアル・タアーウンに完全移籍した。

強烈な左足のキックとドリブルでの突破を武器に、攻撃能力が特徴のマテウスだが、サウジアラビアでは苦戦。2シーズン目を迎えた中、今シーズンはリーグ戦8試合、AFCチャンピオンズリーグ2(ACL2)で4試合、キングスカップで1試合に出場もレギュラーとは言えず。通算でも34試合6ゴール9アシストと、助っ人としては物足りない結果となっていた。

2025年6月までの契約を残しているマテウスだが、アル・タアーウンはこの冬に売却に出たい考えを持っているとのこと。ロドルフォ・アルアバレナ監督が新たな外国人選手獲得を希望しており、そのための利益を得ようとマテウスへのオファーを探しているとのことだ。

移籍先にはJリーグのクラブも浮上しており、かつてプレーしたことのあるマテウスにとっては支障はない状況。古巣の名古屋が獲得に動いているという報道もある中で、市場価値は200万ユーロ(約3億2500万円)程度と見られているが、どうなるのか注目だ。

サウジアラビアからJリーグへ? 元名古屋の10番が移籍へ、古巣復帰の可能性も
