アーセナル退団でフリーのセドリック、アヤックスら複数クラブがオファー検討か

アーセナルを退団しフリーとなっているセドリック・ソアレス(写真右)

アーセナルを退団した元ポルトガル代表DFセドリック・ソアレス(32)には、複数クラブからの関心があるようだ。

スポルティングCPで育ったセドリックは、2015年7月にサウサンプトンへ完全移籍。インテル、アーセナルへのレンタル移籍を経て2020年夏に退団すると、フリーでアーセナルに完全移籍を果たした。

アーセナルでは本職の右サイドバックに加えて、左サイドバックやサイドハーフでもプレーする器用さで貢献。フルアムへのレンタル移籍を挟みつつ4シーズンを過ごし、公式戦64試合に出場した。

しかし、昨シーズンは出番をほとんど得られず、公式戦の出場は5試合のみに。シーズン終了後、契約満了による退団が発表されていた。

現在はフリーの状態となっているセドリックだが、イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると複数のクラブが関心を寄せている模様。アヤックスを筆頭に、リーグ・アンのニースとスタッド・レンヌ、トルコ、サウジアラビアのクラブもオファーを検討しているようだ。

ただし、現在のところまだ具体的な交渉はないとのこと。セドリックが新シーズン開幕までにどのような決断を下すかが注目されている。

366億円の支出がほぼ確定のアーセナル、ジャカら多数売却で資金捻出へ
