チェルシーのDFリース・ジェームズがイングランド代表から離脱した。イングランドサッカー協会(FA)は同選手の離脱を｢進行中の問題の評価のため｣と発表した。

R・ジェームズは23日に行われたユーロ2024予選グループC第1節のイタリア代表戦で85分から出場していた。

ヒザの負傷によりカタール・ワールドカップ出場を逃したR・ジェームズは、12月末に復帰した直後にもヒザの負傷を再発させ、約1カ月戦列を離れていた。

DFルーク・ショーの退場があったもののイタリアを2-1で退け、白星スタートを切ったイングランドは26日に同予選第2節ウクライナ代表戦を控えるが、ガレス・サウスゲイト監督はR・ジェームズの代替選手を招集しないとした。

今後はもう出てこない!?チェルシーと“超”長期契約を結ぶ選手たち

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】
