苦境C・ロナウドにチェルシーオーナーが再び救いの手?

チェルシーがマンチェスター・ユナイテッドからポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド(37)の獲得に動く可能性があるようだ。

今夏に移籍を画策したが、チャンピオンズリーグ出場が叶うクラブが現れず、ユナイテッドに残ったC・ロナウド。移籍騒動でプレシーズンの大半を棒に振った影響は大きく、エリク・テン・ハグ新監督のなかで序列を下げ、多くの試合でサブスタートが続いている。

こうした待遇へのフラストレーションからか、19日に行われたプレミアリーグ第12節のトッテナム戦でもベンチ要員に回ったC・ロナウドはチームの勝利が目前という状況でありながら、無断でロッカールームへ。クラブは身勝手な行動に対して第13節のチェルシー戦ではメンバー外とする措置を取り、ポルトガル代表のスターを取り巻く状況は厳しさを増している。

一方で、イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、チェルシーが来年1月にC・ロナウド獲得に動きうるとのことだ。オーナーのトッド・ベーリー氏は今夏にもC・ロナウド獲得を熱望していたが、トーマス・トゥヘル監督の反対によって断念。しかし、そのトゥヘル監督は9月に解任され、獲得への支障はなくなった。

後任であるグレアム・ポッター監督の意向は不透明だが、ベーリー氏はC・ロナウドの代理人であるジョルジュ・メンデス氏との関係も深く、獲得を推し進めたい構えのようだ。

依然としてCL出場を熱望するC・ロナウドにとって、慣れ親しんだプレミアリーグでのプレーも継続できるチェルシーは願ってもないクラブと予想されるが、果たして。

8歳から親友コンビのライス&マウントが代表でゴール共演! 「同じ試合でゴールを決められるなんて…」
