レギュラーシーズンを首位通過したサン=ジロワーズは24日、1位から6位で争うプレーオフ1の第1節でアンデルレヒトと対戦。三笘とDF町田浩樹は先発出場を果たした。

試合では、サン=ジロワーズのエースFWデニス・ウンダブが躍動。開始2分にウンダフのシュートのこぼれ球からサン=ジロワーズが先制に成功すると、12分には、ウンダブのラストパスから追加点が生まれ、早々に2点をリードした。

そして、2-1と1点を返されて迎えた52分、ゴールエリア右横でボールキープしたウンダブの折り返しを逆サイドから走りこんだ三笘がゴールに流し込んだ。

ウンダブのお膳立てが大きいが、しっかりとゴール前に詰めて決めた三笘には、ファンからも「後ろの方からスルスルーっと現れてゴール」、「タイミングが秀逸」、「良いところにいた!」、「あの位置から察知して詰めるのすごいな」と評価する声が多く上がっている。

リードを広げたサン=ジロワーズは、そのまま3-1で勝利。三笘は87分までお役御免となった。

プレーオフ1の第2節は、5月1日にMF三好康児が所属するロイヤル・アントワープと対戦する予定だ。

三笘薫がついに練習復帰!髪を伸ばした姿にファンも期待「待ってました!」
