フライブルクは1日、元ドイツ代表FWニルス・ペテルゼン(33)と契約を延長したことを発表した。契約期間は明かされていない。

バイエルンやブレーメンに在籍し、2015年1月からフライブルクでプレーするストライカーのペテルゼン。ベテランとなった現在はスーパーサブとして存在感を示している。

在籍7年のフライブルクでは公式戦231試合に出場し99ゴールをマーク。今季は16試合(うち先発は1試合)の出場で3ゴールを挙げている。

日本代表MF堂安律(フライブルク)が、バーレーン代表戦に向けて意気込みを語った。 19日、日本代表は20日に行われる2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア最終予選のバーレーン代表戦が行われる埼玉スタジアム2002で前日トレーニングを実施した。冒頭15分間が公開された公式練習では、選手たちはランニングやストレッチ、ロンドを行うなどし、およそ1時間で引き上げることとなった。練習後、メディア取材に応じた堂安。改めて目標でもあるW杯優勝に向けての選手たちの意気込みについて語った。「彼らの熱量は代表で一緒に活動していてもちろんわかっていますし、そういったことを言った人が浮くような集団じゃないですし、全員が同じ方向を向いていて、特別なサプライズはないです。今、W杯優勝と言わないと、逆に取り残される感じもあるので、そういった集団になれているのは良いのかなと思います」「昔は意識が高すぎて孤立してしまうこともあったかもしれないですが、今は全員が前を向いてやっているので、素晴らしい集団になっていることを明日は見せたいと思います」高い水準に目標を置くことが異質ではなくなっている日本代表。かつては本田圭佑らも似たような発言があったが、当時はまだまだ遠いものと敬遠される節もあった。しかし、同案は先輩たちから受け継いだものを、自分たちがさらに拡大しているという意識があるという。「本田(圭佑)さんが言っていたことは見ていた中で、偉大な選手たちが言っていくことが僕たちの世代に受け継がれていますし、彼らは世界との差がもっとあったと感じていたかもしれないですけど、そういうことが受け継がれて僕たちは先輩たちのお陰で海外に行くことができて、日本のマーケットが大きくなっているので、世界に近づいている感覚があります」「選手たちは現実的だと感じていると思いますし、僕は思っていないことは言わないので、心の底から思っています」ただのビッグマウスということではなく、本気で世界一を目指す集団になっている日本。その中で、20日のバーレーン戦はホームの大観衆の前でのプレーとなり、無様な姿は見せられない。「特別変えることはないと思いますし、1試合1試合全力で臨んだ結果が、今の自分たちの順位を表していると思うので、あぐらをかくことなく地に足をつけた戦いができればと思います」「1-0でもしっかり勝てれば良い試合は良い試合だと思うので、3-0で勝たなければいけないとか、大差で勝たなければいけないという感覚はないです。地に足をつけて1点差でも勝てればと思います」とにかく勝利を目指して戦うという堂安。現在は代表に定着して出場機会も多いが、3年前のカタールW杯出場を決めたオーストラリア代表戦には招集もされていなかった。「3年前はいなかったので、かなり悔しい思いはしました。ただ、3年前のことを笑い話にできるぐらい、自分は努力してここまで来た自負があるので、同じ監督でほとんど同じ選手が残っている中で、自分が彼らに負けじと食らいついてきたことは、よくここまで来たなと思います。決めたらもっと自分を誇りに思えると思います」悔しい思いもありながら、チームも変わり、環境も変わった中で成長を遂げている堂安。自身の成長はもちろんのこと、チームメイトの変化もしっかりと感じるという。「選手の発言は、『W杯優勝』以外の目標を言えない状況になったことは良いことだと思います。それはみんなが言っていく、発言することで行動に変わっていくと思うので、全選手がその責任を感じていると思います」「リーダーが増えたなという感覚がW杯以降ありますし、(遠藤)航くんだけじゃなく、みんなが発言して自分が自分がという選手が増えているので、緊張感はあるなと思います」リーダーシップを全員が取れる状況の日本代表。それはピッチ上のプレーにも影響はあるという。「シンプルですが、体を張れるとか、キツイところでついていけるとか、ボールが来なくてもそこにいるだけで守備が安定するとか、ピッチに立つと感じることはあります」「サボることは発言をしている以上は自分からはしたくないので、攻撃面では変わっていないですが、守備面では変わっていると思いますし、ポジション柄、責任感は増えていると思います」しっかりと発言に責任を持ち、本気でW杯優勝を目指している日本代表。森保一監督との長い付き合いも、心の中に変化を及ぼしているという。「森保さんの人間性はみんなわかっていると思いますし、協調性や規律を守るという日本人の良さを活かしながら、海外で僕たちが学んだことをチームに出して欲しいと言われているので、輪を乱す選手がいれば強く言っているイメージもあります」「あとは人間性で、みんな長くやってきているので、森保さんのために勝ちたいとか、全力を出すというのは、みんな口には出さないですが、そういう選手は増えていると思います」まずはW杯出場をしっかりと決めることが求められる日本代表。大勢のファン・サポーターの前で、その強さを示して欲しいものだ。 2025.03.19 23:05 Wed
