イングランドサッカー協会(FA)は24日、アーセナルに所属するFWブカヨ・サカの同国代表離脱を発表した。

協会によると、サカは新型コロナウイルスの検査で陽性判定が示され、23日から隔離された後に代表を離脱。これを受けた追加招集はないという。

カタール・ワールドカップ出場が決定済みのイングランド。今月は2試合の国際親善試合が組まれ、スイス代表、コートジボワール代表とホームで戦う。
17日に発表された招集メンバーからはリバプールのDFトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルドらがすでに辞退しており、これで6人目の離脱者となる。

サカも自身のツイッターで代表離脱を明かすとともに、一緒に戦うはずだったチームメイトたちを外から応援すると綴った。
「イングランド代表から離脱するのは残念だよ。でも、新型コロナウイルスの陽性反応が出て、陰性が確認されるまで隔離されることになってしまったんだ。今週末は家から選手たちを応援させてもらうよ。早く好きなフットボールに戻っていきたい」

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表の選手に歴代選手数が書かれた“レガシーキャップ”をプレゼント!最新は1262番

イングランド代表が新ユニフォームを発表、赤ではなくなったアウェイは賛否分かれる「初めてじゃないか?」「そのチョイスはなしだ」
